WHAT MANNER OF LOVE IS THIS?

 LOVE.
It is probably the most misused, OVER-used, poorly defined word in the English language. (In fact, pay attention to the opening clip of this show
- it was created specifically to prove that point…). But scripture is clear on what true love really is:
"This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And
we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers" (1Jn3: 16).
The overwhelming facts, the incredible physical, emotional, spiritual agony
along with the undeniable medical evidence that the Crucifixion of Jesus
was the most horrific event in human history. Yet this sacrificial suffering
of Jesus brings us face to face with the reality of the INDESCRIBABLE love
of God for each of us. After we are confronted with this truth our only
response is to bow down at the foot of the cross asking the Eternal question,
"What Manner of Love is This?" By looking in detail at the horrifying history
and medical facts about crucifixion, along with the emotional and spiritual
suffering of Jesus, we can then come a bit closer to understanding His
indescribable Love for us. And even after that, we will still not come
close to grasping WHAT MANNER OF LOVE IS THIS?

you fully contemplate the Bible's verdict on the condition of the human
heart - that it is "wicked and deceitful ABOVE ALL"... and when you consider
